Free Samples

I think I have mentioned that I was conducting an experiment to see how many things I could get for free.  I have succeeded doing this in two ways.  First, by using high value coupons to strategically purchase items that are on sale, thus making them free.  For example, yesterday I got two reach toothbrushes at Kroger and a bengay massage product at CVS for free - actually with overage since I got $2 ECB's at CVS.  If you knew how happy that made me, you would think I was pathetic.  However, if you think about the fact that the Reach toothbrushes are normally priced at $3.99/each and the BenGay product is normally priced at $9.99, I saved almost $18! 

The second way to get free stuff is ordering free samples.  Obviously this route is for the more patient person since sometimes free samples can take 8 weeks to arrive, although in my experience it usually comes much sooner.  NOTE:  I have also read that some companies (depending on their goodwill) may respond to an email or letter with free samples or high value coupons.  This is not something I have explored yet, but very well might soon.

In addition to the awesome gillette fusion razor that I received a couple weeks ago, this week I have received a sample and coupons of the new Starbucks Via, a sample of the new Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets, and samples of Pantene shampoo and conditioner.

Disney Fun For Kids
